Overview

Care UK is a leading independent provider of health and social care.  Working in close partnership with local authorities, PCTs and SHAs, the company draws on over 25 years of experience to provide tailor-made service solutions, including residential, community, specialist, primary and secondary care.

Care UK operates over 50 nursing and residential homes for older people and provides over 120,000 hours of care and support every week to people in their own homes. They offer supported living services for people with learning disabilities and mental health needs. They operate a range of specialist children's services including residential care and fostering.

In the health sector they are the largest operator by far of independent sector treatment centres in the UK and are very active across a wide spectrum of primary care services. Care UK operate GP practices, NHS Walk-in Centres and GP out-of-hours services, as well as highly innovative Clinical Assessment and Treatment Services (CATS).

Today one in five people in the UK population has access to one of the many Care UK facilities. They currently serve all of the Strategic Health Authorities, and work with one in three PCTs and providing social care and support services to over half the commissioning local authorities.
