Our team of Directors are drawn from the very top of their chosen professions.

Their combined wealth of industry knowledge and experience has ensured the continued development of de Poel's position within the recruitment sector. We have a number of key speakers amongst the team, who are regularly required for media briefings and interviews and frequently participate in exhibitions and round table events.


John Salisbury, Managing Director

The appointment of John Salisbury as Managing Director,in February 2009, has cemented the foundation of a strong management team within de Poel.  John's experience, knowledge and foresight into the industry is playing a pivotal role in the future aspirations of the company.

John plays an integral role in cultivating relationships with recruitment agencies, raising the level of agency support, in line with the company's long term client focused strategy.

 

Jeremy Galpin, Sales Director

Prior to joining de Poel, Jeremy spent nine years working for one of the UK's largest recruitment groups. Having worked initially in operations, Jeremy then progressed to a corporate business development role where he was responsible for delivering group recruitment solutions to some of the UK's largest logistics and manufacturing companies.  Since joining the company Jeremy has been personally responsible for the enormous growth of de Poel's customer base and instrumental in establishing a strong reputation and positive public image within the industry. His determination, enthusiasm and innovative approach has resulted in the penetration of new market sectors and ensured a steady flow of high profile clients to the business.

David Crabb, Client Services Director

David Crabb joined de Poel in April 2008 as Client Services Director.

Before joining the company David spent nine years in recruitment, working for three of the industry's biggest names, Adecco, Manpower and Vedior, all at senior level. Prior to this he headed up national accounts within a division at G.E. Capital and other companies within the customer service sector including Alcatel, Prudential and ICI Paints.

Using his industry experience and knowledge David has drawn together de Poel's support services, account management and implementation teams in order to enhance customer satisfaction across our extensive client and agency base.

David is responsible for monitoring existing client and agency relationships, raising the level of customer support provided and building new relationships and processes to enhance this section of the business in line with the company's long term client focused strategy.

Paul Farmer, Commercial Director

Paul Farmer joined de Poel in September 2008 and was appointed Commercial Director in February 2009.  As a qualified solicitor, Paul's experience covers a magnitude of commercial and property work, specialising in property investment. Paul's skills and knowledge are being channelled into the commercial aspects of the business.   His foresight and wealth of experience has resulted in the development of innovative new growth strategies.

Joe Tully, Legal Director

Joe Tully joined de Poel in November 2008 as Legal Director.  Joe has experience in both the private and commercial sectors of law.  His experience and knowledge spans over 15 years.  Joe heads up the legal team, who play a pivotal role in producing service agreements as well as keeping up-to-date with ever changing legislation.

Carl White, Operations Director

Carl White is our Operations Director, with an abundance of experience within the business and finance industry, combined with a recruitment background his knowledge and foresight is an asset to de Poel.  

His responsibility remit covers our support services, implementation and operations team, he co-ordinates the analysis and implementation of new projects.    Carl's forwarding thinking and strategic analysis of data constantly provides new initiatives within our client base. 

Carl's analytical approach to problem solving and effective man management skills are proving a fundamental success to our resourcing planning.

 

Alison Harter, Sales & Marketing Director

Alison Harter joined de Poel in August 2007 as PermPortTM Director. Alison has an impressive track record of success in senior leadership roles within the recruitment industry. Prior to joining de Poel she has worked for some of the industry's most notable companies including Harvey Nash Plc, TMP Worldwide and most recently Monster.co.uk, all at Director level. At Monster.co.uk, where Alison held the position of Strategic Business Development Director she was responsible for the largest single sale in Europe of £500,000 per annum.

In March 2008 Alison was promoted to Sales & Marketing Director where she hopes to use her wealth of industry experience to take the division to the next phase of its development.

Bruce Robbins, System Director

Bruce Robbins officially joined de Poel in July 2008 as Systems Director, but he has been instrumental in the development of the de Poel software since 2001.  Bruce is a well respected and recognised lecturer, specialising in software and IT systems.

Bruce has developed bespoke software package for major blue chip companies whilst heading up his own company.  The appointment of Bruce is an invaluable asset to the future development of our software solutions.

Shaun Webb, Finance Director

Since joining de Poel in January 2007 as Finance Director Shaun has already played a central role in the rapid development of the company. Drawing on thirteen years of experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers and six years working for a major US conglomerate,

Matthew Sanders, CEO

Matthew founded de Poel in partnership with Michael Campbell in 2001. Matthew has held senior management positions within high street multinational recruitment agencies and has managed numerous blue chip accounts over the years. His outstanding knowledge of the recruitment market and clients' requirements has been gained by working his way from the ground level up. Matthew is renowned for identifying simple solutions to complex problems.  "It is my belief that the de Poel approach brings true added value to a market which is often devoid of innovation and quality service. Through our unique five stage process we really can make the difference to our clients perception of agency staffing whilst significantly reducing cost.

Michael Campbell, Non-Executive Director

Prior to co-founding de Poel in 2001, Michael was a Director at one of the top five recruitment agencies in the UK where he gained an excellent working knowledge and understanding of the recruitment industry. He has also held senior positions in the Finance and Property sectors. Over the course of the years Michael has developed a track record in business start-up and building profitability, skills that he has put to good use at de Poel.  "In such an immature and diverse marketplace as agency staff provision, achieving the magic balance between quality, flexibility and cost can often appear to be a pipe dream. I am proud to say that the expertise and proven processes of de Poel are consistently demonstrating to clients large and small that it is both achievable and sustainable."
